It definately can do that. Are you a christian?Well in christian music or in something that's speaking about God,if somebody is living a certain way or if they're going through rough times a song about God's love can really help them.If they wanna kill themselves they might hear a song on the radio and then the holy spirit might speak to them right through it,telling them to not kill themselves and that God can help you through this. Also songs that are anti-suicidal can help people too.Don't Jump/Spring Nicht have helped people to not kill themselves.Music is a very influential thing and a lot of it can change peoples views and lives.
References :
I say it can, I've actually done an experiment on how music effects a person's moods, expressions, and reactions. Some of the results I got:
Classical music makes a person calm, someone in delight of something,
Rock music, makes you hyper or angry depending on whether screamo is involoved,
Hiphop usually makes a person irritated or sexually satisfied, *don't mean to sound gross*
country makes a person happy or calm usually.
There was this song I was singing at church camp before that made me cry and actually I think had an impact on my decision to be baptised which I did make during that song.

Also, When I was on the way to the hospital after my mom was in a serious accident the song, "If you fly away tonight" came on *which is no coincidence* and it really made me feel better. That could be because of one of two things or possibly both. I truly believe music has an impact on events or feelings.

People who listen to a lot of dirty or hard music for example usually have that type of personality, that effects what they do, say, or feel like and that could effect any event in the future.
References :
Can music really change or save your life?
i've heard ppl say that this band's music helped them get through ruff times in life or this song changed or saved their life. i'm just wondering how? the most a song's ever done for me was change my perception on things or change my train of thought, but saving or changing my life? i don't know about that one. are ppl just exaggerating or can this really happen? please go into detail because i'm just amazingly confused.
