if your in a city, there may have been info with the registration guff, it should say where dog friendlyy places are, ie dog parks, just go there, everyone talks to each other, so It's not hard to just startsocializingg... the only problem would be if you areapprehensivee about the possibility of your dog getting in a fight, or if your dog thinks it's job is to look after you, Ask Jan Fennell about that one. her methods have made my life so much easier than it was before hand, to the point that My puppy handled her first trip to the dog park like it was the back yard. my first Akita... I would never risk letting him off there, or even let him talk to other males!
The better the start, the better the future, and Jan Fennell can help you to have that great start!
References :
Jan Fennell.com

Where can I find dog socializing and training classes?
I'm in the UK and have no idea to find these classes.
It's quite the opposite actually, my lab is scared of other dogs if when approaches her she shakes and lays dwon with her tail between her legs. Its awful people must think I hit her.
Evidently I didn't observe it, I don't spend all day browsing yahoo answers, soz.
